In this Star Wars News update, we talk about the Kenobi series and a new character leak. In new set leaks, Indira Varma has been seen on set as an Imperial officer for Darth Vader, Palpatine and the Empire. It was previously speculated that she would be Asajj Ventress, an Imperial Inquisitor or someone else but now we have confirmation. We also discuss a Star Wars theory for how she might tie into this point in the Star Wars timeline and how Ewan McGregor’s character Obi-Wan 10 years after Revenge of the Sith could confront Vader played by Hayden Christensen.
It’s also believed he will reprise the role as Anakin Skywalker in flashbacks to the Clone Wars and the Prequel Trilogy. It’s not known if George Lucas had any input into the show but the Lucasfilm and Disney+ live-action Star Wars series comes out in 2022. The show-runner is Deborah Chow. Hopefully, we get more big characters like Qui-Gon Jinn in force-ghost form, voiced by Liam Neeson.
Next, We talk about Samuel L. Jackson who has teased the return of Mace Windu once again. Star Wars fans hope to see him after it was believed he died on Coruscant in Episode 3. He might return in the Mandalorian universe, notably in the Book of Boba Fett. Master Windu could have been the one who saved Baby Yoda (Grogu) from Order 66. Finally, we talk about Michelle Ang who voices Omega in the Bad Batch – the animated Clone Wars spin-off by Dave Filoni. She reveals that she auditioned for the Last Jedi and it’s believed it was for the role of Rose Tico.
