Did Palpatine FAKE his LOSS to Mace Windu? – Star Wars Theory Explained

Alright, so, there are tons of debates in the Star Wars fandom, and of course, one of the main ones is between Mace and Palpatine. Who really won? Some people say Mace, some say Palpatine lost on purpose to just fake it until Anakin showed up so he can play the victim…now, in an interview with George, he did say that Mace beat him, however as much as I respect and love George, I think he says things sometimes in interviews just to shut the question down and move on. I say this because it just doesn’t make much sense with not only the scene, the character of Palpatine in general, but more importantly, this piece from the novelization right here.
