So we have some very sad news today, with the official KOTOR Remake and remaster being cancelled. The game has been in solid development for about 3 years and was expected to have a release date of within the next year, but now those hopes are shattered.

A recent bloomberg article has confirmed that soon after showing off the vertical slice demo of the game to their production partners at Lucasfilm and Sony, the designers were fired from the project and the game was put on indefinite hold, aka it’s never coming out…

Some insiders said that huge amounts of time and money had already been spent on the project, and that at their current pace, it simply wasn’t sustainable.
