Anakin Just Met CAL KESTIS During the Clone Wars in Canon! 1

So the spoiler period for the new Star Wars: Brotherhood book has finally passed and we got an absolutely huge appearance from a certain red-haired Jedi in novel and he came face to face with Anakin Skywalker. Here’s how it happened!

In the days just after the Battle of Geonosis, the Jedi Order were completely shattered. They had lost countless brave warriors and Coleman Trebor at the Battle of Geonosis, leaving them with a huge problem. They didn’t have enough Jedi Knights to serve as Generals, which were needed to lead clone troopers into battle. As a result of this, the Council did something unprecendented, authorising a mass knighting ceremony where over a thousand Jedi Padawans, including Anakin Skywalker would be knighted at once.

Because of how unorthodox and untraditional the ceremony was, Palpatine was set to speak to the newly anointed knights after the ceremony, but he was pulled away at the last minute by a huge bombing on Cato Nemoida… So instead of going over to speak with Palpatine, Anakin rushed over to Padme, who was there in her capacity as Senator, and Obi-Wan was slightly disappointed as he was about to give Anakin a heartfelt speech about what it means to be a Jedi Knight… Regardless, this time Obi-Wan felt that the relationship between the newly Knighted Anakin and the Senator was different, the force was telling him that the two were now bound much more closely in the force…

Either way, after finishing his conversation with Padme, Anakin walks over to another Jedi Master who is there to congratulate him. A member of the Lasat Species. This happens to be Jaro Tapal… As Anakin Looks down he sees Jaro Tapal’s Young red haired Padawan, Cal Kestis, giving him an excited glance… Now that’s where the interaction in the book ends, but the Author did confirm that there were no other Red-haired Younglings in the Jedi Order at this exact time, so that means Darth Vader probably remember Cal when they came face to face at the end of Fallen Order… Some very dark stuff…
