The second season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars took viewers to the famed planet Mandalore. Obi-Wan was sent there by the Jedi Council to investigate claims that the planet’s ruler, Duchess Satine, was planning to join the Separatist cause despite her planet being neutral in the galactic conflict between the Republic and the Confederacy. As soon as Obi-Wan meets Satine, it’s clear the two have a history together. In fact, there even appears to be an attraction between the two, one that leads to disagreements and humorous jabs at one another.

It doesn’t take long for Obi-Wan to discover that a terrorist group of Mandalorians known as Death Watch are the ones responsible and that the Duchess’ life is in danger. In «Voyage of Temptation,» Obi-Wan escorts Satine back to the Senate where she would claim her intentions to remain neutral in the war. During the trip, viewers see even more proof that Satine and Obi-Wan were close, once upon a time.
