In this Star Wars news update, we look at a new Luke Skywalker sequel novel announced ‘Shadow of the Sith’ which connects to the Rise of Skywalker and the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy more generally. It bridges the gap between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens which could overlap with the Mandalorian and the future of Grogu (Baby Yoda). Will he stay with Luke or will he return to Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal)? The book also includes Palpatine’s contingency plan, Ochi of Bestoon and Rey. Other books include stories from the Clone Wars era with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker as well as a prequel to The Phantom Menace about Qui-Gon Jinn and a younger Kenobi.

The Mandalorian Season 3 by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni releases next year and the Book of Boba Fett comes this December! The other spin-offs were announced by Kathleen Kennedy last year and come to Disney+ by Lucasfilm in the next few years.
