The Second Battle of Geonosis brought the Clone Troopers of the Republic back to the place where the war began, and the beginning of the reason they were ever created. Many brave men died at the batte, fighting to keep the Republic safe from the sprawling droid army. But there was one trooper who was lost before a single Clone touched the sand, destined to never fight. So, let’s break down the story of Clone Trooper Chatter, who never made it to the second battle of geonosis.

Chatter was a member of the Grand Army of the Republic who served under General Anakin Skywalker’s 501st. Within the 501st, he served as a radio communications offer, acting as the main point of contact between the different forces led by Anakin, Obi-Wan and the other Generals on Geonosis.

His armor was the standard radio comms armor given to Clone Troopers in this role, which you can see looked incredibly similar to the Stealth operations armor worn by Blackout and his brothers during the battle of Christophis, early in the war. His however was painted the traditional 501st blue, and he had a radio comms patch on his shoulder which identified him among his brothers. On top of that, he was given the right to wear lightning bolt symbols on his armor, most likely as a sign of his loyalty and service to the Republic over many many missions.
