Sarlaccs were dangerous, carnivorous creatures, as well as one of Jabba the Hutt‘s favorite pets, that inhabited the Great Pit of Carkoon in the Dune Sea of Tatooine. It shared common ancestry with other species, including the rathtar, blixus, and vixus.

Now that we know Boba Fett survived the sarlacc pit in Return of the Jedi, we’ve all been wondering how he did it. So today I’ll be looking back at how he survived in Star Wars Legends to see if it will inform future Fett content.
