The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 5 (Chapter 13) has finally dropped on Disney+…
Here is a full breakdown and review of The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 5 (Chapter 13) with easter eggs, ending explained, things you missed and major reveals explained. This is the fifth episode of Season 2 of the live-action Star Wars, Lucasfilm and Disney+ show and it was an incredible one – a big episode for not only the Mandalorian but for the Star Wars franchise and the Star Wars fandom in general! It was directed by Dave Filoni. There are spoilers ahead, so be warned…
Din Djarin (Mando – Pedro Pascal’s character) and Baby Yoda (The Child – now called Grogu) are headed to Corvus to find Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson). She is there are in the city of Calodan, she isn’t liked since it is run by a Magistrate called Morgan Elsbeth (who works for Grand Admiral Thrawn) and is in the Imperial Starfleet industry/ Imperial Navy. Mando is paid by the Magistrate to kill Ahsoka Tano but when he finds her (the Jedi), he tells her that he was sent by Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff). Ahsoka takes interest in the Child and finds out his name and backstory (Baby Yoda’s history and backstory). He was being trained in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant before he was hidden when Order 66 happened and the Empire (under Emperor Palpatine and Anakin Skywalker – now Darth Vader) took over.
She refused to train Grogu because he was attached to Din Djarin which is a path to the dark side. Instead, she tells him to go to the planet of Tython where there is a seeing stone. There, Grogu can choose his path – and another Jedi might sense him and come and get him. Will this be Mace Windu? Luke Skywalker? Ezra Bridger?
Ahsoka also finds out that Morgan Elsbeth was working for Grand Admiral Thrawn – a huge clue to her and Sabine Wren’s quest to finding Ezra Bridger who after Star Wars: Rebels, went missing into hyperspace with the Chiss male.
This episode was huge and had references to the prequels, to Anakin Skywalker, Master Yoda, Ezra Bridger, the Clone Wars and so much more!
