Oppo Rancisis was a very senior member of the Jedi High Council who fought throughout the Clone Wars and was well known throughout the Order for being strongly opposed to allowing Anakin Skywalker to join the Jedi Order because of his age, at 9 years old. He fought as a General on the front lines of the Clone Wars and was also a very vocal member on the Jedi high council throughout most of the war. So what happened to Oppo Rancisis after the Clone Wars and Order 66?

I’m going to break down exactly what happened to the Rancisis after the last time we see him the Clone Wars series and the shocking discovery that involved him.

Oppo Rancisis was present when Master Yoda heard the voice of Qui-Gon Jinn, joining in on a Jedi mediation session in order to help Yoda uncover the truth and sense Qui-Gon’s spirit for themselves. This led the serpent-like master to look deeply into the force and attempt to connect more strongly with the cosmic force, instead of the living force. We’re not sure at this point whether or not he was successful in this quest, but since we don’t see him as a force ghost in any other material, I’ll let you guys decide.
After this, he was present at the Jedi council meeting when Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin reported the discovery of a massive kyber crystal on Utapau, in an unfinished Clone Wars episode. This event made Master Rancisis incredibly concerned about the state of the war, and it’s impending end. Following this, he was also supposed to make an appearance in the unfinished Clone Wars episode where Ahsoka discovers an ancient Sith Shrine below the Jedi temple. It’s not clear exactly what his role would have been in that episode arc, but we do know that he would be wielding his curved green lightsaber, which looks very similar to Count Dooku’s. With the way his species, the Thisspiasians moved, a curved blade was probably more suitable for his combat needs. Given the fact that his unique lightsaber design was created and modelled for the episode, you can almost guarantee that he would have had at least one fight with his vibrant green blade. Let me know down below if you would love to see Oppo Rancisis in an intense fight scene against an inquisitor, because it would honestly be incredible to see how he would fight.

Following that, Oppo Rancisis was deployed to the battle of Saleucami, alongside Masters Quinlan Vos and Stass Allie, only weeks before the call for Order 66 was given. From Revenge of the Sith, we know that Stass Allie was unfortunately gunned down by her Clone Troopers, but we do know that Quinlan Vos and Oppo Rancisis were able to escape the shocking betrayal of their Clone Troopers. We don’t yet know just how he managed to escape from the harsh battlefields of Saleucami, but it’s likely that he had to fight the clone troopers of the 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps alone, as Quinlan Vos moved his his troopers to Boz Pity and eventually Kashyyk, shortly before Order 66 – which we heard from Obi-Wan in Revenge of the Sith.
