Palpatine/Sidious was a genius He made the Jedi hate him, he played with there emotions, he manipulated them like dogs, and he controlled them, The fact that the Jedi’s emotions were so easily manipulated means they where hypocrites and not truly devoted to their own code as they were supposed to be emotionally neutral, devoid of all strong emotions including both love and hate.
