Star Wars: Jedi Knights Vol. 2 – A Higher Path is the second (and final) trade paperback collection in Marvel Comics’ Star Wars: Jedi Knights series (2025–2026), written by Marc Guggenheim with art by Madibek Musabekov and colors by Luis Guerrero. The cover is also by Madibek Musabekov.
It continues Marvel’s first ongoing series focused on the Jedi Knights in the prequel era (set roughly 40–34 BBY, during Supreme Chancellor Finis Valorum’s term and a few years before The Phantom Menace).
Plot Summary (No Major Spoilers)
Jedi Master Fondar Etzis is dead—apparently poisoned. Jedi Knights Qui-Gon Jinn, Mace Windu, and Aayla Secura are sent to retrieve his body. The story dives deeper into a central mystery involving Qui-Gon (including his past connections, such as with Count Dooku), while incorporating anthology-style Jedi adventures and an assassin subplot. Expect philosophical questions about the Jedi path, high-stakes action, and character-focused moments across different Jedi.
The volume flips the structure of Vol. 1 somewhat, emphasizing the ongoing Qui-Gon mystery more while using a framework story to tie in the shorter tales.

- Strong character work, especially for Qui-Gon Jinn.
- Guggenheim’s knack for fresh Jedi stories and philosophical depth.
- Musabekov’s improved, fluid action art and line work.
- A particularly moving anthology story («Through Youngling Eyes»).
