In the early stages of the Clone Wars, Jabba the Hutt’s son Rotta was secretly kidnapped by the Confederacy of Independent Systems in order to torpedo ongoing negotiations between the Jedi Order and the Republic. Obviously, this went horribly wrong for Count Dooku and the separatists, leading to an agreement being forged between the Republic and Jabba… But what happened to Rotta the Hutt After the Clone Wars and how might he play into the ongoing turf war Between Boba Fett and the Hutt twins?

With the Twins showing up alongside Black Krrsantan in the Book of Boba Fett Episode 2, it is possible that Rotta the Hutt or Stinky (Jabba’s son) will show up. What happened to Jabba’s son?

When Darth Maul was brought out his exile on the scrap world of Lotho Minor after having spent years brooding in anger because of his defeat to Obi-Wan, he began gathering together the galaxies toughest criminals. This group quickly became known as the Shadow Collective. Among them was the Pyke Syndicate, The Black Sun, The Crimson Dawn, The Death Watch and the Hutts and their goal was to take Mandalore and for Maul to serve as their rightful ruler.

This came to fruition when Maul successfully defeated the current ruler of Mandalore and Holder of the Darksaber Pre Vizsla in Single combat making him the rightful ruler of the planet… Although this was heavily disputed by Bo-Katan’s Nite Owls who refused to follow an outsider, despite Maul’s rightful victory. But regardless of that, this sent the planet Mandalore into complete and Utter Chaos, leading the Hutt families to abandon Maul and the shadow collective…

When cutting off all ties with Maul and the collective, Jabba knew that he would become the target of unrelenting Sith aggression on behalf of Maul, so he immediately sent his son Rotta into hiding, never to show his face until Maul was defeated or had lost control of Mandalore. The Hutts were very much like the Mafia so in many cases family was even more important than money or power. Rotta had to be protected at all costs to continue the family’s legacy should anything happen to Jabba…
