The Terrifying Way Palpatine’s Royal Guards were Trained. The Empire scouted out only the most loyal and skilled fighters for the position of Royal Guard and warned them that they would be subject to a grueling training regiment.

After being selected for the position, they would be taken to the inhospitable world of Yinchorr where they would be trained in the ways of combat and how to literally turn their bodies into the fist of Palpatine. Once proficient in this skill they got so fast that they could even block blaster bolts with their weapons, making them fierce defenders.

Eventually they would be forced to fight their classmates and especially those who they had made friends with during training, requiring them to kill their good friend to progress. Only the strongest survived.

After this process left only a few guards remaining, Darth Vader was called in to fight the remaining guards and slaughter any who were not strong enough. Once there were only 2 guards remaining, those two would be forced to fight it out to the death, with the one survivor gaining the honor of personally guarding Palpatine…
