During the Clone Wars, a young boba Fett teamed up with his good allies Bossk, and highsinger, after hearing about ancient mandalorian relics that were currently being stored on Kamino. The group of bounty hunters stowed away on the ship of a freighter on his way to Kamino, managing to get into the highly secure clone base. When they got there, they soon overheard Jedi Masters Shak Ti and Plo Koon talking about how the beauty of the Relics inside of the storage room was so mystifying that the Clone Troopers who went to guard them hadn’t left the vault in 5 days.
Soon after, they discover that the relics are an ancient Mandalorian helmet, as well as the Mandalorian Blade of beginnings. In their frantic escape from Plo Koon’s fury, Boba’s life was saved by the helmet deflecting a blaster bolt, forging a connection with it for life. They ultimately discovered that both the relics were fake, but because it saved his life he kept the helmet until late in the Clone Wars.
