In this Star Wars news update, we talk about big plot news for The Book of Boba Fett by Robert Rodriguez, Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau – the Mandalorian spin-off with Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) and Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) coming to Disney+ by Lucasfilm on December 29th! We now have learned that Boba will encounter a Rancor, maybe the same one named Muchi from the Bad Batch that Omega came across on Ord Mantell. This Rancor likely belonged to Bib Fortuna when he took over Jabba’s Palace on Tatooine but with Boba Fett now on the throne, he has to face her.

We also talk about speculation for the show including when the Book of Boba Fett trailer might drop, what sort of character Boba will be and if they will address the Sarlacc Pit from Return of the Jedi. There have been lots of rumored cameos for the series including Mandalorian characters like Cobb Vanth, Migs Mayfeld, Moff Gideon, Greef Karga, Grogu (Baby Yoda) and even Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin. The Mandalorian universe also expands to Star Wars Ahsoka, the Mandalorian Season 3 and beyond as announced by Kathleen Kennedy.
