During the Clone Wars, Riyo Chuchi was the senator for the moon Pantora, and was a staunch defender of her people. She successfully negotiated a treaty with the Talz species of Orto Plutonia for a peaceful co-existence and fought against a trade federation blockade of her world. But what happened to her after the Clone Wars and during the time of the Bad Batch? Lets find out.
The last time we saw Riyo Chuchi conclusively in the position of Senator for Pantora was at the trial of Ahsoka, for her crime of attacking the Jedi temple… Obviously Ahsoka was framed for that incident by her good friend, Barriss Offee, but the scene does show us that Chuchi was present and still senator for Pantora towards the final days of the Republic.
Following that there is a small gap, where we know absolutely nothing about what Riyo Chuchi did, but we do know that very shortly before Revenge of the Sith, she was removed or stepped down from her position as senator, being replaced by Chi Eekway Papanoida. Chi Eekway is the daughter of George Lucas’ character, Baron Notluwiski Papanoida who appeared in both the Clone Wars, and of course in Revenge of the Sith. So next time you watch Revenge of the Sith, make sure you look out for these two on Coruscant.
