GNK-series power droids, or GONK droids were a highly used and well respected model of power droid that served as a mobile battery bank, capable of servicing a variety of vehicles and machinery. Despite having a very simple purpose and only a few basic ports, these droids were actually much more intelligent than anyone expected, leading a small group of them defect from military service and form a religious cult… So, lets find out how this happened.
After the battle of Endor the renowned highly intelligent scholar, Ebenn Q3 Baobab published a book called “The Galactic Phrase Book & Travel Guide”, and began to sell it to many citizens of planets in the outer rim, where access to knowledge was much harder to come by. Baobab travelled to over 1,300 different planets, experiencing a range of cultures, species and societies, and compiled them all into his book, hoping to create the most comprehensive guide to galactic culture and customs in the galaxy… And by the way, Ebenn Baobab can be seen in the background of the Phantom Menace, and his family goes all the way back to the old Star Wars: Droids tv series.
