Throughout the Clone Wars, the Jedi council and the Kaminoan cloners began to notice that as the Jango Fett Genome template began to degrade and become weaker, many clone troopers were showing more disobedience and less tolerance for accepting orders from their Jedi generals.
For this reason, the Kaminoans began separating Clone Troopers who they deemed to have a higher intelligence and ability to create battle strategies, in order to train them for a… less action packed role. They believed that if the Clones had their orders come from their brothers, they would be more effective. So, lets break down the Clone Advisors, and why they might appear in Star Wars: The Bad Batch.
Clone Advisors, or Clone Advisor troopers were Clones of Jango Fett who were ripped out of their standard classes on Kamino, and placed into a training program, aiming to develop their strategic and critical thinking abilities, so that they could serve in an advisory role to other, front line clone troopers, and especially elite units like Clone commandos. Their main duty once assigned to a unit of front line troopers was to inform the squad about their mission, warn them about supplies, give them status updates, provide intelligence on their enemy and to give them new objectives as the situation progressed. The one main example of a Clone Advisor being used out in the field was the delta squad, when they made contact with CC-01/425… This is where things will likely tie into the Bad Batch.
