With the clone Wars kicking into full gear, the Republic needed a large force of ground troopers to fight their battles and prevent the spread of the separatist threat. But on top of that, they also needed a powerful navy, to fight their space battles and protect their ground forces… So, lets find out why the Jedi Order allowed clones to serve in highly important naval positions.

As the many clones on Kamino were going through the standard training and education processes, instructed by Mandalorian Trainers and other experts hired by the Republic, almost every believed that these troopers would only be capable of fighting on the ground and in limited piloting situations near to the ground… Certainly not in space…
The top scientists of Kamino however came up with a theory which said that almost every single Clone may actually have a latent space combat and dogfighting ability lying dormant within their brains because of their template’s incredible aptitude for space combat and dogfighting. IN short, the believed that because Jango Fett was incredibly proficient in space combat and had a vast knowledge of dogfighting tactics, the clone troopers would be very capable to learning these concepts.
