In today’s new canon Vader comic by Marvel, we get to continue the story right where we left off last time, with Vader taking his troopers to Padme’s Tomb on Naboo. Along the way he goes through several battles, including one with some characters from the prequels that you will know. Vader must combat his inner Anakin Skywalker as he sees all of Padme’s belongings. Things that Anakin gave Padme when he was still a little boy, all the way to when he was a man. I’m looking forward to seeing where Vader goes in the next issue, and how Anakin could try to stop him! Remember, Anakin doesn’t fully return until Return of the Jedi when Luke Skywalker saved Vader from the Emperor. However, in this time, Anakin still resides within Vader, waiting to be freed since his knighting of Vader in Revenge of the Sith all those years ago! Will we see ghosts of his past in the tomb? Obi-Wan Kenobi? Mace Windu? Yoday? I’ll tell you what I want to see, Qui-Gon Jinn, that’s who I’d want to see return to speak to Anakin through Vader.
