We now live in a POST The Rise of Skywalker world. BUT, now we also have almost all the information concerning Colin Trevorrow’s Episode 9. It feels strange to admit this but after seeing all of duel of the fates concept art as well as reading the script breakdown, I believe that this would have been a much stronger film to close out the sequel trilogy. Of course, there are some things in DOTF which I find odd. Plus, there is NO REYLO and NO BENDEMPTION really. So Im not sure if those pieces would ultimately have been added in at the end. But I like no palpatine and Kylo Ren and Rey being the final force users that battle at the end on Mortis. It feels more thoughtful.
