Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is an upcoming Star Wars-themed area being developed within Disneyland Park at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.^[3] It will encompass 14 acres at each park.^[4]

The lands were announced on August 15, 2015^[5] and construction at both parks began on April 14, 2016.^[6] The lands are scheduled to open at both locations in 2019, with the Disneyland version opening in the summer, followed by the Disney’s Hollywood Studios version in the late fall.^[7] Walt Disney Imagineering executive Scott Trowbridge is supervising the development of the new land at both parks
