This is a Legends story for Darth Sidious that uses a number of Legends sources, most notably the Book of Sith, the novel «Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader» by James Luceno, and the Revenge of the Sith novelization by Matthew Stover. It should be noted that it also uses the film as a source, which is of course Canon.
