The Sad Day Darth Vader Visited Padme’s Grave… After his defeat on Mustafar to Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Vader was soon fitted into his new mechanical suit and very quickly informed that his wife was dead, sending him in a horrifying rage. Making things even worse, Vader then missed Padme’s funeral on Naboo because he still required crucial medical care and maintenance, despite already having his new suit.

Following this, despite Naboo’s long standing tradition of cremating bodies, Palpatine gave special orders to preserve Padme’s body in a mausoleum, and keep it under heavy guard so that nobody would find out the true manner of her death. The reason he kept the body accessible to Vader was to fuel his dark side anger and rage, making him a stronger Sith…

Soon after, Vader visited Padme’s grave on Naboo after receiving visions of her which blamed him for killing her, and paid his respects, sobbing under his suit and dreaming about the life he could have had.
