In this Star Wars news update, we discuss the Ahsoka Tano spin-off series which is a part of the Mandalorian universe by Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau. It’s believed that Temuera Morrison will play live-action Captain Rex from the Clone Wars, The Bad Batch and Star Wars Rebels in the Ahsoka series which sees Rosario Dawson as the Togruta ex-Jedi as we saw her with Pedro Pascal and Baby Yoda – Grogu in the Mandalorian Season 2. Lucasfilm want to expand the Mando-verse after Kathleen Kennedy announced Rangers of the New Republic and Ahsoka last year with the Book of Boba Fett coming out in December and the Mandalorian Season 3 dropping on Disney+ in 2022.
The Ahsoka series will also mark the return of Grand Admiral Thrawn, Ezra Bridger and of course, Sabine Wren! We also discuss Ewan McGregor in the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series. There has long been a plot-hole with why Obi-Wan aged so much between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope where Alec Guinness under directorship of George Lucas portrayed old Ben Kenobi before the character died at the hands of Darth Vader. Today, we look at a Star Wars theory about Obi Wan’s regret and sadness in the face of losing Anakin Skywalker to the dark side and his isolation and exile on Tatooine. Could it lead him to Mortis and the World Between Worlds? Maybe Qui-Gon Jinn’s force ghost (Liam Neeson) might lead him back there. Finally, we talk about the Rise of Skywalker and how one actor wants more backstory to his character (General Hux).
