In this Star Wars news update, we talk about big news for Obi-Wan Kenobi and how Liam Neeson as Qui-Gon Jinn may have been confirmed by Lucasfilm to appear! In the new book Skywalker: A Family at War, they tease that when Master Obi-Wan Kenobi went into exile on Tatooine and 10 years after, he talked with force-ghost Qui-Gon. This would be exactly when the upcoming Deborah Chow series takes place. We also look at new Kenobi set photos where Ewan McGregor has the full Obi Wan beard.

Finally, we discuss how Qui-Gon became a force ghost or rather, a force voice. It involves the Clone Wars, the Whills, Yoda, Anakin Skywalker, Mortis and of course the cosmic force… We also talk about how Luke Skywalker became a force ghost when he died in the Last Jedi.

The Obi-Wan Kenobi Series is an upcoming Star Wars, Lucasfilm and Disney+ series that was announced by Kathleen Kennedy during Disney Investor Day 2020. It is set 10 years after Revenge of the Sith and will be the rematch of the century between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader. Hayden Christensen has been cast to reprise his role as newly anointed Darth Vader in the wake of the creation of the Galactic Empire under the rule of Darth Sidious (Emperor Palpatine). The series will feature Ewan McGregor as Obi Wan during his exile on Tatooine.
