The Obi-Wan Kenobi Series is an upcoming Star Wars, Lucasfilm and Disney+ series that was announced by Kathleen Kennedy during Disney Investor Day 2020. It is set 10 years after Revenge of the Sith and will be the rematch of the century between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader. Hayden Christensen has been cast to reprise his role as newly anointed Darth Vader in the wake of the creation of the Galactic Empire under the rule of Darth Sidious (Emperor Palpatine). The series will feature Ewan McGregor as Obi Wan during his exile on Tatooine.
In today’s Star Wars News update, we take a look at big news for Obi-Wan Kenobi – the full cast has been revealed with a filming date in April! Deborah Chow is directing it. No Jon Favreau or Dave Filoni input, as far as we know from the Mandalorian universe. We know that Lucasfilm want to include more Prequels characters to appease fans so this show is going to be special!. So far, apart from Obi Wan and Anakin, we know that Qui-Gon Jinn might return after speculation that Liam Neeson was contacted and with Ray Park teasing a Darth Maul return, is he an option for the series. We also speculate whether or not Samuel L. Jackson could return as Mace Windu after he seemingly was killed at the hands of Palpatine and Anakin before the events of Order 66 during Revenge of the Sith.
