The Mandalorian Season 2 is over and the Book of Boba Fett drops December 2021 on Disney+ with the Mandalorian Season 3 coming out in 2022, according to Lucasfilm, Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau! The Bad Batch is released on Star Wars Day – May 4th 2021!
In this Star Wars news update, we take a look at speculation that Daniel Logan might return as young Boba Fett for flashbacks in the upcoming live-action Star Wars, Lucasfilm and Disney+ Mandalorian spin-off: The Book of Boba Fett which features Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen who reprises her role as Fennec Shand. Daniel Logan has been teasing for a long time that he might return to Star Wars after his appearance in Attack of the Clones as the son of Jango Fett and in The Clone Wars. Ultimately, we could see him face off against Cad Bane – a deleted Clone Wars scene.
We also discuss how the Book of Boba Fett might be about revenge as Boba Fett gets back at all those who wronged him – this could include Han Solo (either a de-aged CGI Harrison Ford or Alden Ehrenreich who played young Han in Solo: A Star Wars Story). We might also see the Bounty Hunter Guild from The Empire Strikes Back, and perhaps even Samuel L. Jackson as Mace Windu. Many believe that Mace Windu survived the fall in Revenge of the Sith and since the Jedi Master killed Boba’s Father Jango Fett during the Battle of Geonosis, this could be the potential for Lucasfilm to show us that Mace Windu is alive in the aftermath of the Empire.
We also discuss Hayden Christensen who returns as Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series alongside Ewan McGregor. We need to see his decline at the hands of Emperor Palpatine. In this update, we look at how the show can expand on a suffering Anakin within the suit of Darth Vader and bridge the gap between Episode 3 and a New Hope. The show might also feature a young Luke Skywalker on Tatooine.
Currently, Star Wars are feeling the pressure from fans who are vocal about their views after Kathleen Kennedy and Lucasfilm cancelled Gina Carano who formerly played Cara Dune. They recently cancelled the Mandalorian novel and the Mandalorian Visual Guide. While they said it was for scheduling reasons, it could be something more.
