The Mandalorian Season 3 returns to Disney+ in 2022, with filming set to begin in April of this year according to Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni. In today’s Star Wars news update, we talk about an exciting rumor that The Mandalorian Universe (Ahsoka, Rangers of the New Republic and The Book of Boba Fett) will explore alternate timelines and could use the World Between Worlds from Star Wars Rebels to change the Sequel Trilogy timeline or to simply explore what could be/have been.

We also talk about Star Wars Visions which drops this year but a new novel Ronin has been announced for release on October 12th! According to Kathleen Kennedy on Disney Investor Day 2020, Star Wars: Visions will be a series of animated short films celebrating the Star Wars galaxy through the lens of the world’s best anime creators. This anthology collection will bring ten fantastic visions from several of the leading Japanese anime studios, offering a fresh and diverse cultural perspective to Star Wars.
