The First Look at the Star Wars: Andor show is here from Empire Magazine, and there have been a HUGE amount of Easter Eggs! So we finally have some shots from the Star Wars: Andor show and it really is shaping up to be the best Disney+ show yet, probably on par with Mando season 2.
In this shot we can see the Imperial Senator Mon Mothma, who is a leading figure in the Rebellion. By the time of Star Wars: Rebels, she denounces Emperor Palpatine and officially goes into hiding with the Rebel alliance. But at the time of Andor, she’s still playing within the system and trying to see if change can be made from the inside… Sadly it couldn’t.
But in this first look image, we can see a very ominous Mandalorian chestplate, in the same colour of Din Djarins. And honestly, it’s even the exact same deisgn to my eye… This makes a ton of sense. The guy in this photo is likely an antiques dealer, storing things from many thousands of years ago… Mando’s cult of Mandalorians is the Children of the Watch, who want to go back to the old ways, so it makes sense that he would have his armor based off an ancient design.
On top of that you can also see a Twi’Lek Kalikori in the background, which if you’ve seen Star Wars rebels, you’ll know this is a family heirloom passed down from parent to child in every Twi’lek family. Each member of the family can then add a small peice of wood or other material to the Kalikori, symbolizing their family tree.
After that, there is also the helmet of a Wookiee Warrior right behind Mon Mothma, which was probably stolen during the Battle of Kashyyyk in the final days of the Clone Wars. We know that Many Wookiees were taken as slaves by the Empire after that battle, so the way that was obtained was likely not pretty…
