In this Star Wars news update, we look at big news for Patty Jenkins’ movie Rogue Squadron first announced by Kathleen Kennedy of Lucasfilm last December. It’s been delayed and the recent rumor that after Lucasfilm announced a Knights of the Old Republic remake (KOTOR), they are now working on an Old Republic era Star Wars movie for Disney+ that is separate to Rogue Squadron might be true. The 2023 movie is not Kevin Feige’s movie nor the one Taika Waititi is working on.
Some Star Wars fans think the movie is going to be the Rian Johnson trilogy while others think the unannounced project will be a Mandalorian movie that connects to The Book of Boba Fett, the Mandalorian Season 3, the Ahsoka Tano series and Rangers of the New Republic. If so, Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin and Grogu (Baby Yoda), along with Luke Skywalker and Ahsoka will be involved in a final epic film.
