In this Star Wars News update, we talk about the Obi-Wan Kenobi series and new character details. Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen are already confirmed as Obi-Wan and Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker in flashbacks respectively but now we know that Agent Kallus from Star Wars Rebels and Captain Bragg from the Bad Batch are going to appear – played by Rupert Friend and Indira Varma respectively.
Yesterday, we found out R2-D2 and C-3PO (Threepio – Anthony Daniels) will appear. We also recently learned that Sung Kang is playing the fifth brother – the Sith Inquisitor from Star Wars Rebels by Dave Filoni. The Lucasfilm and Disney+ live-action series that takes place after Revenge of the Sith but before a New Hope is also rumored to show a young Princess Leia Organa of Alderaan which means we’ll also see Bail Organa and maybe even Grand Moff Tarkin, too! There have been rumors of Ian McDiarmid as Palpatine and Liam Neeson as Qui-Gon.
In December, following the Mandalorian Season 2 where we got a massive Luke Skywalker reveal, Kathleen Kennedy revealed the upcoming Star Wars projects and series. Along with the Kenobi Series, we have the Mandalorian Season 3, the Andor series, the Ahsoka Tano series with Rosario Dawson and many more! It’s not known if George Lucas had any input into the show but the Lucasfilm and Disney+ live-action Star Wars series comes out in 2022. The show-runner is Deborah Chow.
