In this Star Wars explained style video, we explore what happened to Commander Cody after Order 66 as we saw in the Clone Wars, Revenge of the Sith and of course, in the first episodes of the Bad Batch. We know his inhibitor chip activated and he tried to attack Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. With Captain Rex appearing in the Bad Batch Episode 7 and since he is looking for other rogue clones, it’s possible he will track down Cody and remove his chip to save him.
In this video, we also look at a Star Wars theory of what may have happened to him if he stayed loyal to the Empire. With the plot being focused on Omega, Hunter and the rest of Clone Force 99 who have to deal with Cad Bane, Fennec Shand and the Kaminoans, it’s easy to forget the subplot that the Empire – specifically Tarkin and Rampart are in the process of initiating Project War-Mantle to replace all clone troopers with human recruits as we saw in the Bad Batch. Crosshair may even be replaced especially due to his injuries in the Bad Batch Episode 8 «Reunion».
We also explore the importance of the 212th in the Clone Wars to do with Obi-Wan, Anakin Skywalker and we even talk about the Battle of Kashyyyk and the Wookiees. In Jedi Fallen Order, we get more of what happened there when the Empire occupied it. Dave Filoni and his team at Lucasfilm are doing an amazing job with this animated Disney+ series and hopefully we get some more big cameos soon – maybe Ahsoka Tano, Boba Fett, even perhaps baby Yoda – Grogu. The Bad Batch is one of the many upcoming series that were announced by Kathleen Kennedy at Disney Investor Day 2020 with The Mandalorian Season 3, Star Wars: Ahsoka, Rangers of the New Republic, Lando, Cassian Andor and the Obi-Wan Kenobi series.
