In this Star Wars news update, we look at how Bo-Katan Kryze from the Clone Wars, Rebels and the Mandalorian is now confirmed for the Bad Batch thanks to a leak from upcoming Bad Batch figures which includes a new look for Tech and Echo alongside Wrecker and Hunter. We discuss how if Bo-Katan appears at this point after Palpatine initiated Order 66, it could provide more backstory to when we see her in Star Wars Rebels and give us a broader arc for Mandalore, Gar Saxon and even possibly Moff Gideon who would be working for the Empire and eventually get the Darksaber as we saw in the Mandalorian.
Giancarlo Esposito will return for the Mandalorian Season 3 alongside Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin and Baby Yoda (Grogu) although it looks like Mando is being delayed. In the meantime the Book of Boba Fett drops in December! We also look at a Michelle Ang interview and how she relates to her new character Omega – the young enhanced and maybe force-sensitive clone from Kamino who has joined Clone Force 99.
Recently, we had a big tease for an intense Episode 7 of the Bad Batch. Dee Bradley Baker spoke about what we can expect next week and it’s believed Wrecker’s headache is going to lead to a dark fate. We also all want to know who the hologram figure was. Maybe Captain Rex? Bail Organa? Mace Windu? Finally, I talk about the Mandalorian universe and how the upcoming shows by Lucasfilm and Disney+ should try to improve the setup for the Sequel Trilogy later in the Star Wars timeline. Especially for characters like Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and Lando Calrissian.
The Bad Batch is one of three shows this year and next year, we have Obi-Wan Kenobi, The Mandalorian Season 3, Star Wars Ahsoka, and Andor as announced by Kathleen Kennedy last year. Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau are leading the Star Wars franchise in an amazing new direction!
