In this Star Wars news update, we talk about a big announcement by Lucasfilm for the Mandalorian Season 3 and the future of Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni’s Mandoverse. After Gina Carano was fired by Disney and Kathleen Kennedy, two Mandalorian books were cancelled but now they are releasing one for Season 1. It’s confusing for Star Wars fans because Season 1 dropped almost two years ago. This could mean there are troubles at Lucasfilm and while The Book of Boba Fett, Rangers of the New Republic and of course the Ahsoka Tano series featuring Rosario Dawson are all set for production, the Mandalorian Season 3 could be more problematic! While it will likely return in 2022 with Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin, Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan and possibly Grogu – Baby Yoda, things are very uncertain at the moment.
We also look at a character file for Kuiil who we saw in Season one of Mando. Also, We talk about the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series which features Ewan McGregor as Obi Wan, Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader ten years after the events of Revenge of the Sith. Dave Filoni explains why Obi Wan looks so much older in A New Hope when Alec Guinness played the role under the directorship of George Lucas.
