Ahsoka Tano left the Jedi in Star Wars: The Clone Wars after losing faith in the Order. Introduced as Anakin Skywalker’s Padawan in Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated film, the character’s story continued through various animated shows from Lucasfilm. Despite only being an animated character, though, Ahsoka has become one of the most beloved characters in the entire franchise – spanning even the live-action movies.
Prior to the rise of the evil Empire, the Jedi were esteemed members of the society, working hand-in-hand with the Republic in ensuring peace across the galaxy. They were committed to their responsibility and devoted to their cause. The prequel trilogy highlighted how only a chosen few were admitted into the Jedi Order, with Anakin struggling to fit in the organization despite being the Chosen One. In the current Star Wars canon, quitting the Jedi Order is a rare phenomenon, which makes Ahsoka’s decision more intriguing.
