Late in the Clone Wars, Jedi Generals Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker were forced to escape their Republic cruiser and crash land on the wild, dangerous world of Felucia, where something terrible happened. Obi-Wan ordered an orbital bombardment of a local separatist outpost, but before the order executed, they discovered a group of young children nearby. In order to save these children, one brave Clone Trooper had to do something absolutely heroic. So, let’s find out how this Clone Trooper sacrificed his life to save a group of younglings.
So the story begins high above the planet Felucia, where Obi-Wan and Anakin are stationed, monitoring any signals from the separatist base that is located on the planet.
ON the deck of the ship, Anakin and Obi-Wan are told by their Clone Sergeant that he’s picking up a strong transmission from the surface of Felucia. The sergeant tells the two Jedi that the separatists have detected their presence above the atmosphere and are now locking their weapons.
Surprisingly, Obi-Wan is very happy with this news and tells his sergeant that this situation is exactly what they wanted. As Anakin hears this he is shocked, asking “wait, did I miss something here? We want them to target us?”… Obi-Wan and Anakin then begin walking down the hall, the wise master tells anakin thats what he gets for missing briefings, before ordering the sergeant to put the ship on autopilot so that they can begin their mission.
Following this, Obi-Wan rushes Anakin and his Clone Sergeant into the ship, telling Anakin, the more skilled pilot to the take the controls. At first, Anakin is very confused at why they were carrying this T-6 shuttle on board the cruiser at all, but very quickly realizes that it will serve as a decoy ship. Obi-Wan tells him however that it wont be a decoy ship if they don’t hurry up and take off, before opening the cargo bay doors and allowing the shuttle to zoom out into space. Obi-Wan knows the separatist weapons that they detected earlier are only moments away from impacting.
The shuttle just barely makes it out of the larger cruiser before three separatist missiles impact the larger ship, completely obliterating it and sending pieces of the ship flying in every direction.
Unfortunately some of these pieces also impact the shuttle that the group are escaping on, and that’s not even the worst of their problems. Obi-Wan warns Anakin and the Clone Sergeant to grab onto something immediately as a massive shockwave from the blast will be arriving any minute.
Anakin then reports that the ship is hit, but isn’t too concerned because its only debris from the transport. Obi-Wan however isn’t as impressed, asking “just, anakin”?
As the ship continues falling through the atmosphere of felucia, The Clone Sergeant, named Thill, reports even more bad news, telling the two Jedi that the gyro stabilization systems on the ship are badly damaged, meaning they’re not going to have a calm trip to the surface.
Not to mention that the engine is down to only one quarter power. Because of this, the sensors that the separatists are using to monitor felucia will very soon report that the ship and everyone on board it are dead, giving them perfect cover to roam the surface. Obi-Wan however hopes that this doesn’t become a reality.
Anakin then shouts out to Obi-Wan that he can fly this thing with both engines on quarter power, confidently claiming that the mold cover on the surface of Felucia will make for a nice cushion for their landing. Obi-Wan isn’t too happy with this risky flying at all, but Anakin is far too skilled to fail and makes a successful landing, right near their mission target.
