In today’s Star Wars news update, we take a look at the upcoming Star Wars Clone Wars spin off series: The Bad Batch which comes out this year. Apparently, we will have a Star Wars The Bad Batch release date by the end of this month. We also talk about how Kevin Kiner will feature as the composer. He wrote for Star Wars Rebels and Clone Wars as well.
The series follows the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch (first introduced in The Clone Wars) as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War. Members of Bad Batch — a unique squad of clones who vary genetically from their brothers in the Clone Army — each possess a singular exceptional skill, which makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew. In the post-Clone War era, they will take on daring mercenary missions as they struggle to stay afloat and find new purpose. The show will give us a new perspective of the rise of Palpatine, Order 66 and what happened after the Clone Wars. The show will even feature Ming-Na Wen’s Fennec Shand!
The Bad Batch is one of the many series announced by Kathleen Kennedy at Disney Investor Day 2020 as well as Star Wars: Ahsoka, Rangers of the New Republic, Lando, Cassian Andor and the Obi-Wan Kenobi series.
We also discuss the Mandalorian Season 3 and what Jon Favreau has stated about the upcoming third season of the live-action, Star Wars, Lucasfilm and Disney+ series. He talks about Dave Filoni and the vision for the show in general by also honouring George Lucas.
Where will The Mandalorian take us next? To Mandalore? What about Baby Yoda? Grogu – The Child might not appear in the upcoming season. He is currently training with Luke Skywalker after having been taken by the Jedi Master in the Mandalorian Season 2 Finale – Chapter 16 «The Rescue». Could we have two split storylines where we see Grogu and Luke while Mando (Din Djarin – Pedro Pascal) who now wields the legendary Darksaber after having beaten Moff Gideon will lead Mandalore or at least have to fight Bo-Katan Kryze who desperately wants it.
This is a time of waiting for all Star Wars fans as Disney+ prepares to host a whole range of Star Wars shows. This year, we see Temuera Morrison reprise the role of Boba Fett as well as the release of Star Wars The Bad Batch and Star Wars Visions.
