The Mandalorian Season 2 is over and the Book of Boba Fett drops December 2021 with the Mandalorian Season 3 dropping in 2022, according to Jon Favreau!
In this Star Wars news update, we look at an exciting new rumor for Season 3 of the live-action Star Wars, Lucasfilm and Disney+ show: The Mandalorian. It states that Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) will try to kill Mando (Din Djarin – Pedro Pascal) for the Darksaber to retake her planet Mandalore. This will be the first time we see Mandalore in live-action after it appeared in Star Wars Rebels and the Clone Wars. Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau will be writing the story arc for Grogu (Baby Yoda) and Din Djarin and how they might end up together again. One question that many Star Wars fans have is whether or not Grogu will abandon his Jedi training under Luke Skywalker (CGI Mark Hamill) or go onto become a Jedi like Master Yoda before him.
We also take a look at speculation that George Lucas might be directing a Chapter of the Mandalorian Season 3. He will have a larger role in the creative process at Lucasfilm for the future of the show. With Kathleen Kennedy having announced a number of upcoming Star Wars series such as Rangers of the New Republic (which will feature Cara Dune – Gina Carano), Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson), Lando, Andor and others, this is a huge and exciting time to be a part of the Star Wars franchise.
