New concept art appeared on some elements of the Star Wars film, including designs of Rey consumed by the dark side.
The closure of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has given rise to multiple debates since the premiere of Episode 9, as there are not few people who question Rey’s need to return to Tatooine. Amid criticism of what has been seen as a fanservice ending, memes have also spawned around the latest Jedi’s decision to adopt the Skywalker surname. But an element of that ending sequence may have been different, as concept art from the film states that, upon arriving at Luke Skywalker’s former home, Rey would have stumbled upon a pair of Tusken Raiders. By activating their lightsaber, they would have escaped, in an obvious nod to the fear they have after the evil act of revenge that Anakin Skywalker carried out decades ago.
For example, and in regards to Rey’s saber, an image also emerged that better details its design, based on what was the stick that the character carried in The Force Awakens.
Additionally, images have also emerged of Rey consumed by the dark side that the last Jedi seeks to avoid before the seduction of the dark side.
