The premiere of Episode IX of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is getting closer. And as the inevitable date approaches, we feel more uncertain about the future of this franchise.
A few days ago his latest advance was released, after many delays and serious rumors that the film would still be in the middle of an extreme session of re-recordings.
The result of what was seen in the trailer was not so encouraging. Yes, it is a very emotional video on the surface. But it is also visible that it is a lot of sequences patched together at the last moment, with very little narrative thread between them.
Now, thanks to a leak, it seems that we can at least have a certain certainty: this would be the longest movie in the entire history of Star Wars.
The Rise of Skywalker would last a total of 155 minutes, or what is the same: 2 hours with 35 minutes. So, if true, it would be the longest film in the entire franchise.
This represents multiple problems for Disney. Since if it lasts so long it would be more complicated to schedule many functions in movie theaters.
So far AMC has not altered the information on its website. So as more time passes more seems to be confirmed.
