Bridging the gap between ‘The Empire Strikes Back’ and ‘Return of the Jedi’!

Last week’s Star Wars Spotlight focused on the current STAR WARS comic series as it chronicles the events taking place between “A New Hope” and “The Empire Strikes Back,” but this time around we focus on another attempt to fill in gaps between films. SHADOWS OF THE EMPIRE debuted in 1996 as a six issue comic series by John Wagner and Kilian Plunkett that demonstrated how Prince Xizor and his criminal syndicate Black Sun nearly destroyed both the Empire and the Rebels.
